Privacy policy

This site is a static publication. It has no user accounts, sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics scripts. Here is what that leaves.

Trade on a regulated exchange that has served customers since 2013.

Summary

quant-coin.com is a set of static web pages. We do not ask you to register, we do not set cookies, and we do not load advertising, tracking pixels or analytics software. The only personal data that can reach us is what you send by email, and the only personal data that reaches anyone else is the technical information your browser transmits when it requests a page from our hosting provider or live market data from the public APIs named below.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this website is the editorial team operating quant-coin.com, reachable at contact@quant-coin.com. Please use that address for any question about this policy or to exercise the rights described below.

What we collect, and what we do not

We do not collect names, email addresses, wallet addresses, payment details or any other personal information through the website. There are no forms, no comment sections, no newsletters and no login. Interactive elements on the pages, such as calculators, filters and the verification checklist, run entirely inside your browser and keep their state only for the duration of your visit; nothing you type into them is transmitted to us.

We do not use cookies. The only thing our pages write to your browser is a short-lived cache of market data in session storage, which keeps the live widgets from re-requesting the same prices on every page view; it contains no identifier, never leaves your device and is cleared when you close the tab. If your browser's privacy tools report a cookie on our domain, it was not set by us and we would like to hear about it.

Third-party services your browser contacts

Some pages show live figures: the QNT price, market capitalisation, supply, and recent token transfers. To display them, your browser sends requests directly to two public data providers. We never see these requests and we do not proxy or store their responses.

  • CoinGecko (api.coingecko.com) for price and market data. CoinGecko receives your IP address and standard request headers, as any web server does, and processes them under its own privacy policy.
  • Blockscout (eth.blockscout.com) for ERC-20 transfer and holder data from the Ethereum blockchain. Blockscout likewise receives your IP address and request headers and processes them under its own privacy policy.

These requests happen only on pages that contain a live widget, and only after the page has loaded. If you prefer that your browser never contact these providers, a content blocker that blocks the two domains will do so; the widgets then hide themselves and the rest of the page works normally. Our pages also load a web font that is bundled with the site itself, so no font provider is contacted.

Pages contain links to external websites, including regulators, official documents, news sources and exchanges. Following a link takes you to that site, whose privacy practices are its own. External links are marked and open in a new tab.

Server logs

Like every website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers record standard access logs: the IP address making the request, the time, the page requested, the referring page if any, and the browser's user-agent string. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention and capacity planning. They are retained by the hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention schedule and are not combined with any other data to identify individual visitors. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website.

If you email us

When you write to contact@quant-coin.com, we receive your email address, anything you include in the message and the technical headers your email provider attaches. We use this information only to answer you and, where you report an error, to fix the page. We do not add you to any list and we do not share your message with third parties, except where we are legally required to. Correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up, then deleted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or your consent where you have asked us to do something specific.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with comparable law, you have the right to ask us what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Given that the only personal data we hold is email correspondence, the practical scope of these rights is small, but they apply in full. To exercise any of them, email contact@quant-coin.com; we may ask you to confirm the address you wrote from. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom.

We do not make automated decisions about visitors and we do not profile anyone. Our pages are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site works changes, for example if we add a newsletter or a new data provider, we will update this page before the change takes effect and describe what is new. The current version is always the one published at this address. For the limits of the information on the site, including that nothing here is financial advice, see the disclaimer; for who we are, see the about page.
