About this site

quant-coin.com is an independent editorial project about Quant Network, the QNT token and the technology around them. We are not Quant, and we are not an exchange.

Trade on a regulated exchange that has served customers since 2013.

Who we are

We are a small editorial team of writers with a background in financial journalism and web development who became interested in Quant for a specific reason: it is one of the few crypto projects whose customers are banks and central-bank bodies, which means its claims can be checked against documents that have nothing to do with crypto. That makes it a good subject for careful, source-based writing, and a bad subject for hype.

The site is independent of Quant Network Ltd, and we do not speak for the company. Links to exchanges and other external sites are marked as external, and our descriptions of exchanges rely on their published registrations and fee pages.

How we research

Every factual claim on a content page is traced to a source, and we prefer them in this order. First, primary records: Companies House filings, the Etherscan and Blockscout views of the QNT contract, regulator registers such as the FCA's, and official documents from the BIS, the Bank of England, the ECB and UK Finance. Second, counterparty statements: when Quant announces a partnership we look for the partner's own press release, and we label a claim unverified if we cannot find one. Third, Quant's own documentation: its FAQ, release notes, developer hub and press releases. Fourth, and only when flagged as such, trade press and crypto media.

Live figures, such as the QNT price, market capitalisation, supply and recent transfers, are not stored by us. They are requested by your browser directly from public APIs operated by CoinGecko and Blockscout when you open a page, and the widgets hide themselves if those services are unavailable rather than showing stale numbers. Our privacy policy explains what that means for your data.

Our method: official records first, counterparty statements second, the project's own materials third.

Editorial principles

  • We say what we could not confirm. Claims that lack a primary source are labelled unverified rather than dropped silently or repeated.
  • We correct misconceptions, including flattering ones. If the community says Quant is building the digital pound or has a Mastercard partnership and the record does not support it, we say so.
  • We separate the company from the token. A legitimate business and a good investment are different questions, and we keep them apart.
  • No financial advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold QNT or any other asset. Crypto-assets are volatile and you can lose everything you put in.
  • No undisclosed interests. We do not accept payment for coverage, and we do not publish sponsored content presented as editorial.

What the site covers

The guide is organised around four themes. Learn explains what Quant is, how Overledger works and what the tokenomics look like. Market covers price data, scenarios and news. Buy and store covers exchanges, wallets and how to verify you are dealing with the real token. Enterprise covers the CBDC work, partnerships and comparisons with other interoperability projects. The disclaimer sets out the limits of all of it.
