Quant price, chart and market data

The live QNT price in your browser, the numbers behind it, and the honest story of how Quant got from a $1 token sale to a three-digit price.

Trade on a regulated exchange that has served customers since 2013.

Key takeaways

  • QNT has a fixed supply of about 14.6 million tokens, so a three-digit price still means a mid-sized market cap (around $2.9 billion at $200).
  • The all-time high was roughly $427–428 on 11 September 2021; the most recent 12-month low was a $55.91 daily close in August 2026.
  • Enterprise news moves the price far more than token demand from licence fees, which is small by design.
  • Aggregators disagree on circulating supply (14.56M vs ~12.07M), which changes the reported market cap and rank. This page uses CoinGecko.
  • For forecasts and scenarios, see the separate price prediction page; this one sticks to what has actually happened.

How to read the QNT price

A single number on a chart tells you less than it seems. Quant trades at a price that looks expensive next to most altcoins, but that is mostly a function of supply. There are only about 14.6 million QNT in existence, against a billion LINK or a hundred billion XRP. Price per token is therefore the wrong yardstick for comparing projects; market capitalisation (price multiplied by circulating supply) is the one that matters.

Run the arithmetic with the figures CoinGecko reported on 2 November 2026: roughly $200 per token times 14,556,178 circulating QNT gives a market cap of about $2.91 billion and a rank of #35. CoinPaprika, using a smaller circulating figure of around 12.07 million, showed the same token at $2.41–2.44 billion and rank #44. Same price, different market cap, because the two sites count supply differently. We come back to that discrepancy below.

The practical consequence is that a $10 move in QNT is about a 5% move at a $200 price, which is a normal day for a mid-cap crypto asset. When you see "QNT up $50 in a day", check the percentage and the volume before reading anything into it. The chart above shows 24-hour volume alongside market cap for exactly that reason.

Price, market cap and the fixed supply

Because the supply has not changed since the token burn in September 2018 (details on the tokenomics page), the market cap and the price move in lockstep. There is no inflation diluting holders and no emissions schedule to model. If you know one number, you know the other: divide any market-cap figure by about 14.56 million and you have the implied price.

Price alone says little about QNT; multiply by the ~14.6 million supply to get the market cap that comparisons actually depend on.

Price history by phase

QNT has gone through five distinct phases since the 2018 token sale. The figures below are yearly highs, lows and closes from CoinLore's historical tables, cross-checked against CoinGecko and Coinbase where the sources overlap. Where sources disagree, both numbers are given.

  1. 2018

    Token sale and burn

The public sale ran in April 2018 at 430 QNT per ETH, roughly $1.10 per token according to Quant's own figures as recorded in the Blockworks transparency filing; ICO Drops lists $1.51 for the public round and $1.00 for the pre-sale, so the exact sale price is disputed. Unsold tokens were burned on 14 September 2018. The all-time low came soon after: $0.2158 on 22 August 2018 (CoinGecko). The year closed at $2.11.

  2. 2019–2020

    Quiet accumulation

2019 ranged from $0.89 to $14.81 and closed at $3.64. 2020 ranged from $1.24 to $17.23 and closed at $11.04, with Overledger 1.0 reaching its testbed release in June that year.

  3. 2021

The run to the all-time high

Coinbase Pro listed QNT on 24 June 2021. The token peaked at $427.42 intraday on 11 September 2021 (CoinGecko; Coinbase shows $428.45), two days before the Overledger Network launch. The year's low was $9.77 and it closed at $178.55.

  4. 2022–2023

    Drawdown and base-building

2022 ranged from $41.09 to $225.67 and closed at $105.54; Kraken listed QNT in March 2022. 2023 was calmer: $84.00 to $162.18, closing at $137.66, with Overledger Platform (June) and Overledger Authorise (October) launching that year.

  5. 2024–2025

    Grinding lower

2024 ranged from $50.66 to $170.82 (close $106.45), with a December high near $166. 2025 ranged from $58.82 to $135.24 and closed at $69.41. One year before this page was researched, on 3 November 2025, QNT traded at $79.87.

  6. 2026

New lows, then The Clearing House

Daily closes of $58.18 on 6 February and $55.91 on 19 August marked the 12-month low. QNT was still near $61 on 17 September. On 24 September The Clearing House selected Quant for its tokenised-deposit interoperability layer, and the daily close reached $286.92 on 28 September and $287.38 on 1 October. Intraday peaks reported by third parties range from $337 to around $373 and are not verified here. October pulled back to $179.11 on 25 October, and early November traded around $200: up roughly 153% on the year.

What the 2026 spike looked like from the inside

The September move is a useful case study in how thin-float tokens behave. From a $61 close on 17 September to a $287 close on 1 October is a 4.7× move in two weeks. OKX launched a QNT perpetual with up to 50× leverage during the rally, and leverage of that kind tends to amplify both the climb and the fall. By 25 October the daily close had given back almost 40% from the peak. None of this changed the fundamentals: The Clearing House network is not scheduled to go live until the first half of 2027, and neither TCH nor Quant has said banks must hold QNT.

What moves the QNT price

Quant is an unusual token in that the company behind it sells software to banks, and the token's demand story depends on a relatively small set of institutional deals. That gives the price a different set of drivers from a DeFi token or a memecoin.

Enterprise announcements

The biggest single-day moves in QNT's history have followed institutional news: the Overledger Network launch in September 2021 and the TCH selection in September 2026. Earlier, the ECB naming Quant a digital-euro pioneer partner (May 2025) and the UK tokenised sterling deposits project (September 2025) were well received but did not produce comparable spikes. The pattern is that announcements involving money actually moving, rather than pilots, get the strongest reaction. The partnerships and CBDC pages track these in detail.

Bitcoin and the wider market

Like almost every altcoin, QNT tends to fall when Bitcoin falls, whatever Quant the company is doing. The 2022 drawdown from $225 to $41 happened against a brutal crypto bear market, not any failure at Quant. PrimeXBT's market research also points to macro events such as US Federal Reserve meetings and to leverage on perpetual futures as short-term drivers. In a down cycle, good enterprise news can be absorbed with barely a ripple.

Low float and holder concentration

With roughly 14.6 million tokens and ~187,000 holders, QNT's order books are shallow relative to its market cap. A tokenomics audit by 8blocks estimated that around 65% of supply sits in a single treasury-related address; that estimate is unverified, but even a lower concentration would explain why modest buying can push the price a long way. The flip side is that modest selling does the same.

Exchange liquidity

Almost all QNT trading happens on centralised exchanges. On 2 November 2026 the total depth across Ethereum DEX pools was about $2.3 million, against more than $40 million in daily centralised volume. If a major venue were to delist or halt a pair, liquidity would thin quickly. Binance, for example, listed QNT/USDT as trading but had its QNT/BTC, QNT/BNB and QNT/USDC pairs on "break" status when we checked.

Licence demand (smaller than people think)

Quant introduced an annual Overledger licence fee of £100 payable in QNT in December 2021. Even thousands of licences would buy a trivial amount of a $2.9 billion token, and Quant's current FAQ says fees can be paid in USD as well as QNT. The narrative that banks will need to buy QNT in size is not supported by anything TCH, UK Finance or Quant has published. Fusion's gas-token and trusted-node roles may change that, but the staking parameters remain unpublished; our staking page explains the status.

Where the price data comes from

The chart on this page is drawn in your browser from CoinGecko's public API, which aggregates 87 QNT trading pairs across centralised and decentralised exchanges. CoinMarketCap, CoinPaprika and the exchanges themselves publish their own prices; they agree to within a fraction of a percent on price but can differ sharply on supply and therefore market cap.

The supply discrepancy, explained honestly

CoinGecko and Etherscan both report about 14,556,178 QNT in circulation out of a total 14,612,493. CoinPaprika uses a total of 14,881,364 and implies a circulating figure near 12.07 million; Ethplorer's market cap implies the same ~12.07 million. The 12.07 million figure appears to come from a MiCA white paper quoted by CoinMarketCap and Bitrue, which lists a maximum supply of 14,881,364 and circulating supply of 12,072,738. We have not been able to reconcile these with the on-chain record, and the token's own transparency filing on Blockworks uses the Etherscan figures.

To add to the confusion, the contract's totalSupply still reads 45,467,000 QNT because the 2018 burn sent tokens to a burn address rather than reducing the contract counter. Etherscan labels this "max total supply", which is why you will see 45 million quoted in forum posts. It is not the live supply.

The transaction tracker page reads holder and transfer counts straight from the Ethereum blockchain explorers, which is the one source that cannot disagree with itself.

QNT in USD, EUR and TRY

Convert any amount at the live rate. The widget pulls the current price from CoinGecko and is an estimate only; exchange fees and spreads are not included.

Most QNT volume is quoted in USD or USDT, but there are liquid markets in other currencies. Kraken and Bitvavo both run QNT/EUR pairs, with Bitvavo's doing about $1.49 million a day when we checked. In Türkiye, BtcTurk and Paribu quote QNT/TRY; BtcTurk's last trade on 2 November 2026 was 10,075.15 TRY. On the same day CoinGecko showed €178.48 against $200.05, so the EUR price is simply the USD price at the prevailing exchange rate. The German, Dutch and Turkish versions of this site show the chart in EUR and TRY directly.

Liquidity by exchange

Where you trade matters for the price you actually get. The table lists the largest QNT markets by 24-hour volume as CoinGecko reported them on 2 November 2026. Volumes change daily; the ranking is more stable than the dollar figures.

One thing the chart cannot show

Price data stops at the exchange. It cannot tell you whether a move came from one large holder, from leveraged futures traders, or from thousands of small buyers. For that you need on-chain data, and even that only shows transfers between wallets, not trades inside an exchange. Keep both limitations in mind before reading a story into any candle.

Frequently asked questions

What is the QNT price today?

The chart at the top of this page shows the live price from CoinGecko, refreshed in your browser. If the widget does not load, the public API is temporarily rate-limited; try again in a minute. We do not publish a static "today" price because it would be stale within minutes.

What was the Quant all-time high?

About $427–428 on 11 September 2021. CoinGecko records $427.42, CoinPaprika $426.18 and Coinbase $428.45, the differences reflecting which exchanges each sampled. The 2026 rally reached a daily close of $287.38 on 1 October, with unverified intraday reports as high as ~$373.

Why is the Quant market cap different on CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap?

They use different circulating-supply figures: about 14.56 million (CoinGecko, matching Etherscan) versus about 12.07 million (a MiCA white-paper figure used by CoinMarketCap, CoinPaprika and Ethplorer). Multiply the same price by two supplies and you get two market caps and two rankings. See the tokenomics page for the full supply breakdown.

Why is QNT priced so high compared with other altcoins?

Because there are only about 14.6 million tokens. A high unit price with a small supply is a mid-sized market cap, not a sign that the project is "big". Compare market caps, not prices.

Does the price of QNT follow Bitcoin?

Broadly yes, like most altcoins. The 2022 fall from $225 to $41 happened during a market-wide bear phase, and the 2026 rally was triggered by enterprise news rather than Bitcoin. The relationship is loose, not mechanical.

Will QNT go up?

Nobody can tell you that honestly. This page deliberately avoids forecasts. For a framework of what could drive the price either way, and a comparison of third-party forecasts with their track record caveats, read our Quant price prediction page.
